    Hi Denise.,

Sorry to hear of the bad news in your family.

I find at this time of life, things tend to throw us farther off balance, and it takes time to balance again... I think you'll find it.

I am going through similar right now... a bad stretch of migraine activity really getting me down. Making me doubt. Bringing back my health anxiety.

See if you can find minutes away to yourself where you can do any activity that takes your mind out of fight-or-flight mode. If you get a few minutes of peace, make note of and congratulate yourself on that small victory.

See if you can remember what it felt like when you were feeling a little better each day... you will get there again.

The small wins add up 😃

Take care, and I'll keep you in my thoughts,

    Sara

Yes! I had this earlier on in perimenopause. I would get the most horrific, demented thoughts that would terrify me. I felt so alone and scared. Eventually, I almost got used to them, as they were so frequent, and I noticed that they would come and go of their own accord. Also, women in perimenopause can not cope with stress the way that they used to, so, as you said, they may be coming back with a vengeance largely due to your recent bad news.

I can assure you that you are not alone, and I can also promise you that, with time, they will pass.

    Hugs,

    Bev xo
