Can anyone help

I have had fibromyalgia for years but I am always getting new and more different symptoms. My fingers are painful, sore and red and now it is starting in my toes also. I am constantly tired, struggle to walk as my feet are painful, don't sleep great, have dry eyes. I could go on. My doctor is getting my bloods checked for inflammation. Does it sound as though I could have RA?

Sounds pretty rough ... I hope you can get some relief soon!!

I'll also be interested to see the responses to this question. I've been on Enbrel for 10 years but my RA symptoms have recently returned. I now also have shooting pains down my arms with numbness in my fingers, in addition to the typical joint pain. It's very painful and I'd love to know if anyone else has similar nerve-style pain as well as their joint pain.

The painful, sore and red and the painful feet and tiredness could definitely be RA.  I haven't had any shooting pains down my arms or numbness in my fingers but others may be getting the nerve pain.  I hope you both feel better.  I'm to start on Remacade next week.  I hope it helps because I'm tired of the pain, just like the rest of you!

I'm the other way round. Had Rheumatoid Disease for 4 years with the symptoms you mention plus really painful elbows and knees. But now have other pains that the Prednisolone I have been on for years doesn't touch. Dr has now decided that I have Fibro. Don't be surprised if the RD bloods come back negative. Over 30% of people don't show a positive RF result. I hope your Dr treats what he sees, not just your blood results. Good luck.
