Can anyone help diagnose by terrible leg pain?

Hi, I'm hoping that someone can help me with my leg pain problem.

I'm a 28 yr old female, and have had pains in my legs  for almost 10 years now. The pain is a constant ache which has gotten progressively worse over the last few years in particular, and is no pretty unbearable, and makes it impossible for me to concentrate or do work. It is worse in my lower legs and around me knees and is along both the front and backs of my legs.

When they started off they were infrequent and I thought I had restless leg syndrome. Now it is constant, both during the day and at night and exercise or stretching does not help. I have been seeing a nuerologist, who has done nerve conductions tests, blood tests (including tests for auto-immune disorders, diabetes, thyroid function), and an MRI. All of these were normal. my B12 was in low end of the "normal" range but I have been getting weekly B12 injections now for 4 weeks and this hasn't helped. I have been on 300mg of Lyrica per day for 2 months now, which has not helped at all. When the pain is very bad it makes me VERY anxious, and I feel quite panicked.

I think that my neurologist is running out of ideas now- can anyone shed any light on this, or direct me to a doctor with particular expertise in this area. Happy to travel to a neurologist if he/she can help me!

Please let me know if you have any insights into this- it's really starting to take over my life and getting very unbearable.

I'm really hoping that someone can help- please let me know if you have any advice!

I can only suggest asking your neuro to refer you onto a cons neuro that specialises in movement disorders ( if the one your seeing isn't ). Could be a neurological muscular disorder?

This is what happen end to me but I had different symptoms, having said that one of my symptoms is aching legs and arms , feels like toothache ?

    Hope this helps

Yes it does feel exactly 'like a toothache!'.

Would you mind telling me what your neuro problem is and how your diagnosis can about?

    No prob

i had 18 mths of tests, bloods, MRI brain scan, DaT brain scan and nerve cond tests called SSEP

The first neuro I was referred to was a general neuro and couldn't give a definitive diagnosis so she referred me onto a cons neuro specialising in movement disorders.

i have only recently been diagnosed with a rare type of dystonia with dystonic tremor and myoclonus. Basically a neuro disorder caused by problems in the basal ganglia part of the brain that is responsible for sending messages via nerves to muscles. Can be a primary condition or secondary caused by other conditions, mine is primary inherited. I am now taking clonazepam and propranolol which I'm adjusting too.

Still learning about it really so hope I've explained it properly. You know there are so many related conditions and many have similar symptoms so it's a long road to diagnosis.

I wish you you all the best in achieving a diagnosis, any pain indicates an underlying reason and shouldn't be ignored. Worth a try seeing a specialist, you must be so fed up and frustrated .i know I was there's such a delay waiting for tests, results and app's

    Kind regards

I'm Not sure what you mean by a 'cons neuro?'
