    Hi Maggie,

Try to wean very slow. Since you’ve been on them for 2 years, you want to take longer to wean off of it. Try alternating 10 mg with 7.5 mg the first week, then go 7.5 mg for a whole month. If you have very little problems,  then alternate 7.5 mg with 5 mg for a week then 5 mg for a whole month.  Cut down by 2.5 mg until you’re at 0.  This will take some months, but it’s better than having terrible withdrawal symptoms.  Of course, you want to speak to your dr about this weaning. I have heard great things about oral lexapro but I have no experience with it. Hope this info helps!!

Hi kris. Thanks for replying. I can't believe I am so silly to get caught in the addictive pill trap after It took me a year to wean off Lyrica.Do you mean take 10 mg one night and the next night 7.5 mg. This is worth a try.Doc said go back to 10 mg and when I am better, in 6 months we go the liquid way.!How depressing. So I'll start tomorrow. Thanks for the adviceBest wishes Maggie
