Can anyone help me with this?

I'm a 74 year old lady and I've never had a migraine in my life until last year, but since Sept. 2013 to today I have had 34 Ocular Migraines. Not always with a following headache. I was first sent to the eye hospital with no ocular problems found then for a brain scan and again no problems found so my doctor started me on a prophylaxis medication plan. Propranalol 40mg for first few weeks then raising to 80mg now on 160mg per day but still getting them. Has anyone had a similar problem and should I be asking to see a Neurologist now ?

Thank you for your reply Marareta. I have kept a migraine diary since December but cannot pin it down to any stress or foods. If anything bright lights seem to be more often a cause. But I will indeed try to see a neurologist next. Just wish I could hear from someone else who has just ocular migraine. My daughter in law and granddaughters and some friends have the normal type of migraine with terrible, debilitating headaches, but mine is nothing like that and even they are baffled.
