can anyone help put my mind at ease in what they think this might be?

I noticed a large, red bump about two months ago and was at first painful to touch, how i noticed it. i did what you shouldnt and squeezed it, and then it became smaller but has still lingered since. it is not painful, but has caused me a lot of anxiety. i initially tried treating as a boil with warm compress for several weeks but it didn't change drastically. i have received oral sex in months prior but had not had intercourse in over a year and have been tested since then. anyone know what it could be or how to get rid of?

    not sure, but I dont think it is serious... may be MC??? best check with a doctor.

    if the time line is as you say I would rule out herpes.

    herpes dont " linger" around. unless they disappear and reappear in same location then i would rule out herpes as well. but thats just an opinion, the looks of it to me is ingrown hair, youll be surprised how long they can linger around. best of luck
