Can anyone recommend anything herbal/natural for off-balance after BPPV attack?

Does anyone know of anything natural I could take to help some off-balance feelings I get after an attack of BPPV? I am thinking herbal/homeopathic. I worry when I am in the shops that I may topple over and then of course the anxiety makes it all feel worse and i wonder if it actually brings it on. I would like something to take when going out and shopping that I could rely on if that is possible. I have tried the Homeopathic VertigoHeel but found that it didn't really do very much for me.

I can manage in my own home but don't want to be frightened to go out anywhere with this.

Many thanks

Ginger capsules -- I take one every 4 or 5 hours everyday regardless of if I have had an episode recently. I have Bilateral Vestibular Hypofunction and haven't had an episode in over 2 months and really think the ginger is helping 😃 good luck!

Please be thorough with Vestibular rehabilitation process. This feeling will go away at most by 3 months. Try to consume less salty foods and caffeine. Have loads of drinking water. Try to take minimum medicine unless doctor asks you to. You simply have to train you brain to accept vertigo. However, if this spinning motion occurs frequently, then you should check for proper medical diagnosis. Try to undertake PMR (Progressive Muscular Relaxation) at least once a day (mainly in the night time prior to sleep). If your dizziness increases at the night time; then it is highly due to BPPV or vestibular neuritis. Don't panic, these are harmless diseases. Avoid driving and swimming for safety purposes. I am also fighting this issue out, pretty well. I had it last year and it was horrible, accompanied by nausea and vomiting (but only for a day).

I haven't really had any Vestibular rehab at all - my GP just told me that it would go away and then I may find that I will get a kind of residual off-balance feeling in times of stress or when you are ill etc. This is what has happened I think. My brain seems to have hung on to that off-balance feeling and so I get anxious about going out to the shops or anywhere socially which in turn makes me feel off-balance. It is not a spinning sensation but more of being slightly off-balance. It will go away for days but then it will be back if I get worried or anxious. It seems to be a loop I am stuck in.

Can you tell me what Progressive Muscular Relaxation is and how I go about it?

      Many thanks
