Hi All, I've been have a nightmare with my sinuses for about 10 years. I've had 2 ops and still the nose feels worse and blocked badly on one side. I just get constant trapped mucus and feel I'm coughing up a lung all the tine. Could anyone recommend the best ENT consultant, I'm thinking Harley Street but based in Scotland UK.
Thanks all :-(

Have you been tested for allergies?
Did you see an infectious disease specialist?
What if any changes did you make to your diet?
ENTs are good at cutting but after two already a third may not be the best course of action.
I am a fellow sufferer.

Thanks for replying. I've had a septoplasty, turbinate reduction and some polyps removed and sinuses cleaned out.
I've not seen an infectious disease specialist.
I've tried cutting out dairy and alcohol.
No allergies.
It can feel mucus trapped and squeulching when I press the side of the septum from the outside and it feels tight and as if mucus is trapped.I can't blow it out of that area and nostril.
The Ent that did the last septoplasty said it looks clear and showed me with the camera. Although I pointed out the tight area on the screen he said that shouldn't matter and forced the camera through that area, it was painful and bleeding for a while after that. I feel the mucus just build up in that tight area and ends up causing post nasal drip and nasty chest cough. I've been sick a couple of times just coughing it up.He shouldn't need to force the camera through that area and cause bleeding surely to prove there's enough room ( surely there's not)

A risk of turbinate reduction is ENS.
Can I ask what color the mucus is?

I had a CT before but not after. I had a lot of bleeding after the op and had to get the adrenaline and the blood sucked out with a tube. Not sure if that would've affected the splint. I had a head CT at the dentist and from my untrained eye it looked tight between septem and skin to me.The mucus is usually clear, some dried blood now and again in mornings.

That's good it's clear.
A new ENT can't hurt. Your GP can order a new CT so your ENT visit is fruitful when it comes.
The CT really should be read by a qualified ENT who should point out to you any concerns. The technicians notes will be helpful.
I thing I've learned with ENS is that any nose surgery has pros and cons. More surgery equals more damage.
