Can anyone share their experience of a retrograde pyelogram please?

Hi,

I have moderate hydronephrosis of both kidneys which was first seen on an ultrasound scan in Nov last year. CT scan, Mag 3, MRI with contrast and they still don't know what's causing it. I'm in physical pain (not agonising). I think the mental side of things is worse as I'm worried about whether my kidneys are deteriorating as time goes on. They've recommended I have a cystoscopy and retrograde pyelogram. I can find lots of info on cystoscopy but can't seem to find anyone who's had a pyelogram. Hope someone here can help.
