Can anyone suggest what they think my symptoms may be?

Just below my rib cage in the center, a bit higher than my belly button, it feels feels really tender and maybe like I have inflammation. It has been tender there for years but it is becoming quite painful and I am getting very bad nausea and dizziness. When I go to the loo, it gets really raw there afterwards.

Perhaps you have a Hiatal Hernia Where you are describing is exactly here they are I have had one for years It gets super tender and swells It causes bathroom issues I'll call them There is somany different things that can cause them And in turn The hernia causes problems I would for sure go to the GI doc

      Good Luck

Thanks, I was thinking it could have been chronic pancreatitis, I never even thought of hiatal hernia, it would make more sense. So I would need an endoscopy for that wouldn’t I?

Yes You need an endoscopy If you have never had one They're painless and only takes about 20 minutes  Truth8 brings up a valid point I went years with mild heartburn /acid reflux /gerd So mild I didn't realize I had a problem As years went by it mildly got worse to then to the point I can't walk down my hall without holding my tums I found out I have something Barretts It's a disease of the esophougus I have to have surgery My point of telling you this is that If I had paid attention to the random weird pain in the middle of my chest and the burning I wouldn't be in this situation I would get tested for that too as truth8 suggested I am sorry I sound like an alarmist You are paying attention and reached out for advice That was smart None of that would ever happen to you Being proactive with your health is the best way to catch stuff early I wish you the best And please keep me updated Good Luck moon

Thanks for your suggestion, I was having loads of stomach problems at the beginning of the year and I was going to have an endoscopy, but then I got diagnosed with multiple pulmonary emboli and I thought I would leave the endoscopy until after I finished the blood thinners, just in case something happened and I bled internally. But my stomach had gotten so bad in the last 2 days I might book something anyway. I will let you know when I have had it.

Did you get tested for gastric ulcers? Have you every had GERD?

I take PPIs so I don’t think I could have them, I am on blood thinners though so I have to be careful.

I think I would let your Doctor know about that, with you on blood thinner can't take just anything.
