Hi, just wondering if any ladies out there can tell me, when you know when peri is nearing the end. As I can't take much more. Anyone that has been through it and out the other side, did you having different symptoms towards the end..? Did it change or stay the same?

I have been going through it about 4-5years now, and my symptoms have got worse over the last year with seriously high anxiety, panic attacks everyday, some days back to back its debilitating and draining. My irritability and mood swings is off the chart, crying at everything or feeling like I could literally kill someone๐Ÿ˜ข exhusted everyday, crippling me, massive pain in hips and joints, feeling more low, depressed and worrying at EVERYTHING!!!

Just wondering if it gets worse towards the end...???

Thank you

Hi Rachel I wished I could answer your question but unfortunately I feel the same way. I was just telling hubby today that I can't take it no more..its too much. Yes I have noticed that the symptoms have changed and seem to worsen. At one time it got better than worsen. I've been having lots of aches, pains, muscle tightening and just mind feel overwhelmed. I feel like im losing it. I haven't had

a period since May and I had one last week and this period seem like it just heightened the symptoms. Rachel, I wished I knew the answer to that question as well ...I am wondering the same thing..I just hope it gets better real soon for you, me and every woman thats going through this.

hi Mary, how long have you been having symptoms ? for me its been about 3 years now, but the past month has been the worst - no relief from symptoms at all - nausea, no appetite, depression, anxiety, flushes and night sweats - i had a period last week but it was light and didn't really help much - really hope this means the end is near ??!!

Hi Karen. I've been having symptoms for almost. 2 years now. For me, this month it has been pretty bad also. But to be honest, my symptoms has been almost daily the whole time. I can literally count the good days I've had. I had a period last week as well and normally a period would help me but not this time. I wake up with inside nervousness and tremors, heart palps, digestion issues: when having a bm I still feel the urge to go, constipated, tightness in stomach and back, no appetite during day time , anxiety and depression. But the weirdest thing night time these symptoms lessen or go and i get a big increase in appetite. I've lost so much weight.

    Hi Rachael,

I read a book that indicated that symptoms intensify and become the worst, right before the end of perimenopause. I know that women do reach the other side. My symptoms have been all over the place for just over a year, and it has been a tremendous struggle.

I have days where I feel completely "normal", like my old self, but, at other times, I struggle with depression, anxiety, feeling impending doom, feeling out of touch with reality...

I recently turned 50, and my period is very weird now: light with spotting. I hope that the end is near.

    Sending you positive thoughts.

Hi Rachael, I am 41, going through this hell for 17 months...But, I noticed little things at 38...was on BCP so they were not an issue. I have been skipping periods, spotting, etc. My symptoms tend to get worse if I skip periods...my record so far is 57 days. this is after every 21-26 days of quick, light periods...symptoms were intense too, because it seemed like I would just finish one, and then another came.

I am going back on BCP this weekend and if it agrees with me as before...I am just going to stay on it...my obgyn said it would be fine until menopause...which for me could be another 5-10 years..then explore other options....maybe there will be some progress in menopause by then. If it does not, there are 100 other brands to try.

I am also on baby dose of amitriptyline for migraine control...it is an old AD, but in small doses drs prescribe for various other reasons.. That along with my vitamins. Been on it 4 weeks, I am pleased so far. Really helps me sleep. I hope my plan helps me.

I am sorry for all of us going through this mess. The best we can do is try things to help ourselves and share our knowledge with others. All the best! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

If you are having pains in your joints I highly recommend you have all your hormones tested, your thyroid and get a bone density scan.

I found out after having long term post menopause symptoms even with HRT that I have osteopenia which is what comes before osteporosis. My hip joint was pretty ok 4 years ago at 53 now I have osteopenia at least there.

Some people have real health issues that arise from hormone drops so it is better safe than sorry. I have to say during most of this period I've been eating pretty well not so good on the exercise due to severe fatigue for years. Going to an endocrinologist on Tuesday. Personally I haven't pulled out of the symptoms and I am 57 so I am weirdly hoping it's my thyroid so I can get treated. I do have multiple benign nodules on my thyroid. My mom had thyroid issues.
