Can Atorvastatin exacerbate type 2 Diabetes

First, I am 59 years old and have COPD which put me on SSD.

I have Had Type II Diabetes for about 4 Years. for the first 2 years it was easily managed with insulin and diet, and I was Able to Keep it in check, and my doctor was pleased with the results of my A1C tests.

About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Vascular Restrictions in the arteries leading to both my Legs, had Stents inserted, and MD immediately put me on Atorvastatin, even though My Cholesterol Numbers had always Been Good.

Within a month of My surgery, my Blood glucose readings started getting really crazy!

While there was no change in my diet, my readings were always elevated... No matter what I did, I couldn't bring them down.

At that same time, I lost My regular doctor due to changing Medicare Plans and Switched to Kaiser...

Covid had also Started, and as a Result, I have Never actually met my doctor... they took Labs, and the Pharmacy started increasing my insulin. Now, I'm taking three times the dose of insulin as before!

Today, My Chiropractor just happened to mention a relationship between Statin Drugs and Type II. Could the Statin Be the cause of the crazy numbers??
