My husband was diagnosed with an ear infection and given Augmentin. After the second dose he began vomiting and was sick throughout the first day. He continued taking it, however and has not vomited since. Now, on day 4, he has diarrhea. Could this all be a result of the Augmentin? If so, is it unusual that he only vomited the first day? Maybe it was a coincidence and he had the stomach flu?

what he is experiencing is the side effects of the medication its known to cause upset stomach nausea vomiting and the runs as his body gets used to taking it the side effects will ease off

Tell him to keep taking the medication and be patient, its only been 4 days. Medications naturally need time to work.
