ye it usually can it depends on if its progressed into pelvic inflammatory disease or not usually when u have an std it will effect the cervix or anus and from there it moves upwards to other organs within the pelvis it can be quite painful during sex and when walking u can have stds and have no symptoms at all i dont think u have syphilis it could not even be an std the discharge could be an infection in the bowel or anus produced by your own bacteria and not related to an std have u had further tests i think u mentioned swabs on another post

if it turned out to be an std u would be given antibiotics in which in most cases it would treat it sometimes when its progressed and u get pain in the pelvis and bowel etc it needs treating in hospital by iv antibiotics but i dont think u would need that in your case

i think it may be Chlamydia or gonorrhea. if it is and it has delevoped into pid can they all be cured still after potentially 12 years?. i do get pain in my pelvic. also got cysts in my cervix and further up

it can still be treated i have had pid twice from having bv i had bv for 4, years u will be given two weeks medication to see if that clears it up

try not to guess at things and wait for your results both of those stds can be treated with two weeks antibiotics if they suspect pid of not then its normally given for 7/10 days

ok thank you. will they be cured though as in i will not have a disease anymore? i know may have some damage still but will the disease be cured out my body or will it still be in my body but just treated?

it depends wat is causing it if its an std such as chlamydia or gono its can be treated ans will go away u will not have it for life

ok thank you. what about if it has effected my eyesight? will i get my eyesight back? i know i may not have my fertility. but will everything else go back to normal? thank you for your help also

    • Posted

why would it effect your eyesight i think your reading way more into it than u should also as for fertility its in rare cases as most often its treated with antibiotics if your doctor thought it was severe enough to loose your eyesight an fertility u would be in hospital on iv antibiotics by now it can make u extremely ill i think your worrying when theres no need to

Because i may of had it for a long time. also inflammation around my heart. i will see wot they say anyway

yr try not to worry to much about it and wait for all results to come back and take things from there at least that way u know exactly wats causing it and the best way to treat it moving forward

ok. one more question. if my partner has anything if i have got something. will he be cured? we've been together 5 years

when u get ur results if its an std he will need to go to the doctors for treatment aswel normal men get symptoms like discharge from the urethra aching testicles burning when urinating

    • Posted

no he has no symptoms but we have had unprotected sex

    • Posted

once u know wat it is u have he will be able to go and get tested and get treatment should he need it

anus swabs came back. normal no action 😒

u wil have to go back if the problems still going on to find out wat tests need to be done next as its not normal for there to be discharge coming from the anus

found out it is Chlamydia and gonorrhea from urine test. it must of lay dormant as couldn't find it for along time. I have it very severe. i have probs had it for 12 years with only recently having any symptoms. do u think i will be able to get cured? i just want my life n health back now tbh and my partner has it also he's had it obviously since we've been together which is 5 years. do u think he will be cured?

    • Posted

so the antibiotics will cure it both even though it's really severe?

    • Posted

should do yes if the antibiotics dont clear it up ull have to go bck to the doctors but in most cases they work

    • Posted

ok. i know the PID won't be cured completely though will it?

    • Posted

no reason why it shouldnt clear it have u been given medication

glad you found a diagnosis. Have you been tested for Chlamydia and Gonnorhea before and it came back negative?! This final test was urine and it came back positive suddenly?

    • Posted

yes i had swabs before but nothing came back. with urine test showed infection. i don't know why I've been tested so many times and so many ways but nuthin shown up until recently. apparently it lays dormat so maybe that's why

    • Posted

it can lay dormant for years without symptoms and suddenly flare up

    • Posted

so swabs didnt pick it up. Is this the first time your urine was checked for it?! Or have you been urine tested before and it didnt pick it up?! I am just trying to understand. What were and have been your symptoms over the last 12 years?!
