I have been not able to live life bc I am in so much pain. I am on more muscle relaxers, tremor medication, and antiexty medication to kill a horse. I have been suffering for years. Now I am to the point of giving up hope bc I can not get relief. I now even get chest pain and a stomach ache, as well as numbness tingling, spasms, tremors, lose strength and drop things... I have partical paraylisis with a left foot drop bc of a TBI 30 yrs ago. I am in agony. Yet I can not think bc I am on to many meds to help "my symptoms... " But no one willing to fix my neck and back bc I am to" complex" with medical history (like I asked for it) do I just suffer? Is that it?

NO dont give up change your gp if the one you have wont listen.i havd sponoloses lumber and neck yes i take a few tablets and they take the top off it .i tend to be a live with it sort of person but if the pain gets too much i go see my gp and meds are changed to a more effective one. some people seem to really struggle to get basic treatment it seems. and i really do feel for every one of you. j have to say though it did take about 20 years to get diagnosed but not looked back since.. good luck with your fight

    Hi Sweetlyfree,

As I have wrote several times now on different posts-I f you can possibly afford it, ask your g.p. to privately refer you to a specialist, in your case a Neurologist. It may cost several hundred pounds but you will be given more time to discuss your ailments, write down all your symptoms, what you can and cannot do, how your past and present meds help or hinder you. Otherwise you could be kept waiting for months while they sort out further xrays, nerve conductivity tests etc, etc

The NHS is a wonderful organisation manned by dedicated people from the top down, but they are unde rtremendous strain and simply cannot give enough time to everyone .

You should not have to suffer in pain like you are, I did for 15 months but finally got a pain pathway in place. Good luck, mike.
