Can costo affect outer rib

I am a 38-year-old mother of a 2-year-old weighing 39 pounds who i lifted daily multiple times forever in a day..  After scrubbing crayon off the wall aggressively with 2 large Mr. Clean erasers down to shreds, i was told i had  costochondriits. I have suffered with this since July of 2015... off and on.  My question is this.  Can it affect the side ribs under the armpit? Im guessing it the fifth rib down by the breast  on the outside but I have a tender spot on that rib  on the outside if i touch it.. i have pain withotu touching it as well.  Its constantly sore but alot of this too is bad posture related as I have a touch of scoliosis affecting the left lower rib in the front, which sticks up when i lay flat on my back.  I have pain under my left breast in the rib as well.  Thanks for reading.

I too have the constant rib pain and under my left breast. It scares me bc it's right where I can feel my heart beating. My doctor keeps saying no to costochondritis, that I have chest wall pain and my intercostal muscles are sore. I'm at my wits end with this pain and no answers. From what I have Google yes those pains are associated with costo

I am fortunate in that i have a chiropractor that i can trust.  I have the worst health anxiety you have ever seen.  I'm constantly poking and prodding myself checking for things and thought i felt a lump in my breast.  ran to the doctor and saw a nurse, someone who has never examined me before.  she did a breast exam and sent warning bells off.  she asked if where she was touching was where i felt the lump.  i paid no attention to be honest.  i was scared.  so i was like yeah.  she said well it moves but lets get an ultrasuond.  well this was on a friday.  mid week i finally got a time for the ultrasound but never went.  I kept examining myself and dont feel what i thought i felt anymore... certainly nothing hard so just wrote it off.  I had this issue a year ago where  i thought i felt a lump in the opposite breast but my chiropractor... thank god told me to freaking relax because he said honey thats prominetn rib and ill show you, give  me your hand, you have it in the other breast as well.  sure enough, i did.  I'm thin.  I weight 108 pounds and have been told im going to feel everything because of that reason.

Anyways, this same chiropractor works the muscle as well as bone and when this rib pain started  it was  entirely in both lower ribs.  he told me i have an intercostal neuritis and have hot points.  he touches them and i about go off the table but he gets them calm. My bad posture at my desk job where i type for 9 hours a day 7 days a week doesnt help this any.  I also have another chiropractor i see who adjusts the ribs.  i have only see him twice but he has helped some.  i feel tremendous relief the day of treatment.  I also see a massage therapist every 2 weeks who told me i probably have rib dysfunction and to find a chiropractor who works with that.  Hence, the new one im seeing.  I see 2 chiropractors because its the only thing with medicaid that im not limited on treatment wise.  im scared of MRIs.  had normal chest and rib x-rays and dont take pills except for an occasional Aleve.

I've eliminated caffeine.  well only buy A&W rootbeer, which is caffeine free and only have one cup of coffee  a day.  My diet is just well... sucks.  i dont like organic and not big on the stuff i should eat... i know thats horrible.  I just know this condition is awful.  i actually live for my chiropractor and massage appointments.  i feel horrible that i cant pick up my 2 year old and love her like i used  to.  I had to pick her up twice today and as we speak, its an ice pack under the armpit and moist heat to  lower  ribs.  I cant wait to crawl  in bed.  Bra wise, i struggle.  i have been wearing just a basic bra but even that is cutting into my breast underneath and im just not comfortable.  sports bra suffocates me.  i have to wear something.
