Can HRT override antidepressants?

Hello everyone,

I've been on fluoxetine for four years now and overall it's been very effective, but recently I've become ill again after altering my dose of HRT. Obviously I cannot be sure that it's the HRT that caused this but has anyone else experienced anything similar? The antidepressants are not helping me at all at the moment and I feel like I will never get better.

    I get sudden depression when my oestrogen gets low (pellet implants), and as soon as I top it up with an oestrodial patch, it goes away.
