Can I calculate IOL strength myself?

Having my topography values, is it possible to double check the calculation leading to the selected IOL strength and what my target refraction will be?

Lens is a Clareon monofocal.

If you have all the data from your IOL Master measurement you could, but I don't think that should be your focus. Also there can be adjustments if you have short or long eyes. You have some of the best minds in the world coming up with the formulas used by these machines.

My advice would be first make sure you have a top doctor and he is using the latest and greatest IOL Master machine. And get a few measurements on different days and maybe on different machines just to make sure your measurements are consistent.

Then I think your main focus should be to know your eye conditions including if you have astigmatism and the plan to address it.

If you decided on a Clareon Monofocal you have eliminated having to research a bunch of IOL and the tradeoffs. The only question left is are you going to shoot for Plano with both eyes.
