Hi Tammie - while the big wrap is on (usually 2 days) it will be difficult to handle a 2 year old with one hand. I'm assuming you'll have one hand done and then the other hand a couple weeks later.. Best bet is to get some help. You'll also be on pain meds for a few days..

Unfortunately you will not .For no less then 6 weeks you cannot lift any weight, not even your handbag, or at least it was what I have been told.

Hi Tammie, I'm very sorry to hear that, I was kind of hoping it was just me.

Seek for help for your daughter, for house work etc.

    All my best to you.

Thanks how is your hands now. I'm concerned that I had so much damage that I may not have a great success.

Unfortunately mine wasn't a success, I'm still in a great pain and it has been 8 months now, my pain is extended to my arm and my right hand hurts in the same way, I cannot sleep properly.

Today I saw one of the doctors from the same equipe of my surgeon, the want to inject my neck, I refused this option the risk is to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life is something goes wrong.

I have asked to have a second opinion, we'll see.

Try to get help with your daily routine and I hope that'll be Ok for you.

Hi tammie. My son is 16 months old and I'm having to spend this week at my mum's so that I can rest my hand post ctd.

I had had my right hand (dominant) done last October and had help for between 7-10 days (while the stitches were in). Last Friday, I had my left hand done. My lo is a live wire so there is no way I could have cared for him at home as hubby is working.  Initially, I struggled pulling my pants up and down to use the lol so no way could I have been chasing him around to change a nappy and get him dressed and undressed.

See if if any friends will help out, even for a few hours a day. Bath time is especially hard unless she baths herself as you need to keep your surgery site clean and dry.

i hope you get some relief. I know it's hard
