Can I consume alcohol on sertaline?

Hi, I've been taking Sertraline for over a month now and it was rough in the first few weeks but now I'm not experiencing anything too bad at all.

When I researched online if I could drink on Sertraline I got a lot of mixed messages, I'm wondering if anyone here drinks Alcohol on this medication and if it's safe. If so what should I know?

    hi hannah,

    i have been on these for coming up 8 weeks now and i have had alcohol on a few occasions with no problems. i know everyone is different but thought i would just reply. Hope you are doing ok x

    Hello,

    I used to be on Sertraline,

    I could drink on them, but not alot for a start. Your body has to get use to it.

    Just take it steady. X
