Can I drink alcohol with friends if I skip a day of Zopiclone?

Hi, I have insomnia and have been prescribed a short term dose of 7.5mg zopiclone. I am wondering if it is okay to drink alcohol with some friends this evening if I do not take the tablet once I am home and skip a day? Thank you

    !st, Dont even start taking them, 7.5 is too high to start with.

    Ok, dont even start taking them,  if you do dont drink at all with them, they dont work , if you can SKIP one then you clearly dont even need them to start with.  trust me and all of us  do not take them you will never get off them and you really sound as if you dont need them, its not something you can just skip one night

      Hi, thanks for the reply. I have very bad insomnia and can only get about 3.5-4 hours max of sleep when I do take the tablet. I'm exhausted but don't want to let my friends down. I'm hoping some alcohol will actually make me pass out for a reasonable amount of time sad

      It's up to you but you will become dependant and regret it. 4 hours sleep is amazing . I go a couple of days

      I will use this as simply a one off. I'm very sorry that you have to go a couple of days without sleep. Have you tried CBT?

    Yes you can.but i would seriously not advise to drink with zopiclone. I nearly choked on my own vomit once. I was lucky.

      Hi, thanks for your reply. I will simply just miss a night and not take the pill and just continue with them tomorrow. I will be very careful to avoid vomitting.

      Listen the truth is from own experiece zopiclone is a very good sleepomg pill. If you can avoid taking them thats great. You DO NOT need alcohol for them to work. I seriously seriously wouldnt drink with them. Short term use only and as and when.

      I have 10 days worth of tablets, I've only used 4 so far. The doctor told me that they won't be able to give me any more

    Throw them away. 10 x 7.5 is not good. You will wish you never took them

    Avoid Zopiclone as it isn't worth the  risk of taking them and becoming

    dependant on them.

    Then they will stop working and you will need more and more.

    So wish that I hadn't taken my benzo sleeping tablets as I became tolerant

    and went through hell coming off them.

      Thank you for your insight and I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with them. My doctor seemed to think 10 was suitable to not get an addiction and just be a temporary fix?

      Not all people ger addicted. Not all people build up a tolerance either. Its horses for courses. But ultimately its best if you stay away from them of course

      Some Drs do that. Normally 7 x 3.75 but look it's your choice. Good luck. You will suffer and it's sad to see. Sad to a gp hand them out. But look you fully fully fully know the risk otherwise you would ask your chemist or doctor for this simple answer and not be a member in here. It's no fun being dependant on zpp

      Thankyou for your advise. I may not take another one of the tablets after reading your replies, I do not want to suffer and am hopefully getting theropy within the next week. Sorry if I seem ignorant to this subject.
