Can I easily remove my aircast boot to wash my hair?

I had ankle surgery 15 days ago. I can wash my body alone, but I didn't wash my hair for 16 days with shampoo. I'm going to do it today with the help of my mother.

I was thinking of buying a reusable plastic foot cover so my cast doesn't get wet.

But I know that in 3 days, I see the surgeon so he can fit my new aircast boot.

Can I easily remove my aircast boot to wash my hair? I never had one so I'm not sure.

If I can remove it, then it's not a problem is my foot is wet, I can dry it and put the aircast boot back. So I would not need to spend the money on a foot cover for nothing.

Yes. life will be easier once your in the boot. I had a cast protector for bathing and it was useless. I used a couple of plastic bags and good quality tape. Make sure you have moisturiser for your leg. They are hideous once out of plaster!

    Enjoy washing your hair!
