U can get pregnant they have ways for un born baby gets h2. But should talk gynecologist when you're ready to have a baby so they can give you all the information you need but it is safe that's plenty babies that are born without h2

No personal experience, but many HSV2+ women are able to conceive and give birth to healthy babies. Your obgyn needs to know your HSV status from the outset, so be upfront. The meds will probably be prescribed in the third trimester and, worst case scenario (i.e., outbreak/shedding at the time of labour), a C-section can be performed.

I'm still trying to confirm hsv-2 status by western blot (ELISA 3.9). 3 negative cultures. Since my doctor suspected GH, I went on acyclovir during pregnancy 400 mg 3x/day). Baby was fine.

I have it and have a healthy little girl and I am currently pregnant. Your chances of c-section go up but other than that I've never had an issue and my midwife treats it as a complete non issue. I still take acyclovir when I need it but the dose is slightly milder. I do however have more frequent outbreaks due to a weaker immune system. Over all it's been completely worth it and my babies are fine. I hope this at least gives you some hope!
