I am a 30 year old female and I have been diagnosed with Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) since I was seven. I was too young to be on medication so I only started treatment when I was twelve, ( Propanalol). At twelve I did personal observations about my body and realized that whenever i took the meds I had SVT episodes and whenever I missed taking the meds I did not have SVT episodes. So I stopped taking the meds and on my regular check-ups I informed my doctor of my observations. I was informed to take them when I had episodes since i would not take them regularly. I honestly believe that me NOT taking these meds have been more beneficial to me thus far. I have done the ECGs, EKGs and the works, yet still there is no definitive answer to treating Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome ( which i was recently diagnosed with about 3 years ago, because the doctors before did not know what caused the SVT). I was informed of my option of ablation but based on various experiences shared here, maybe I will just stick with my treatment plan of doing NOTHING. I am not adversely affected by my SVT, only on rigorous activity and often the episodes are spontaneous anyways.
I do have a concern however, I wonder if I can get pregnant and carry a child to full term with this condition?
