Can i play Golf yet

Hi all

I'm now almost 9 weeks in following a FHR on my left side and feel like i'm doing great, i'm now able to walk 4 to 5 miles without using a stick, the limp and the horrible hip pain have all gone and apart from the burning feeling inside it feels great. What i would like to know is if i'm ok to start playing golf, i realise i will need to build up to playing a full swing but i'm dying to get started again. Any advice will be welcome

Sorry, not a golfer. Could u contact Consultant or Clinic? Beautiful weather in the UK so very tempting to get out doing more. Am 5 weeks, still on sticks but doing well. Need LHR so wary of going without sticks. Awaiting Physio's words tomo. I only have slight deep burning pain so am overjoyed with new hip no 1.

Good luck with the golf. Hope to take it up when I'm bionic. Best wishes.

Hi I am not a golfer. You need to call your consultants secretary & ask them for advise. But with bending you could always take a grabber to pick the ball up.! Hope this helps. Regards Amanda

Hi. I was cleared to start swinging ( gently) at about 6 weeks. Still haven't played yet as I haven't been able to get to the range to work on full swing. I would check with your surgeon just to be sure. Good luck.

A "burning feeling inside" sounds like a problem to me. If it were me, I'd be very careful about doing anything more strenuous as long as you have that pain going on. It's always best to check with the surgeon's office for advice on what activity level would be best for their patient. Good luck!
