Can I take Vitamin A supplements while using Adapalene 0.1%

I have been using Adapelene 0.1% for a couple of months but in the last few weeks I have gotten Cystic Hormonal Acne flare ups and smaller pimples all over my forehead.

After doing some research I have found that additional Vitamin A supplements (10,000 IU) can help treat it. On the other hand, I have also read that you shouldnt take Vitamin A while using other retinoids (like Retin-A) but I haven't found anything on the use of Adapalene 0.1%

Can I combine them?
