Hi Rohit
I know that anxiety can show in many forms and with real physical symptoms, I for about 3 and a half years suffered with all sorts of chest pain, heartbeats that felt really irregular, disorientation, tingling in and hands etc. I had loads of tests including an angiograme, heart mri test, various blood tests, echocardiogrammes all of them cam eback normal and I was told that it is all anxiety related. Last November I was finally diagnosed with large bilateral pe's, this is after I became more or less unable to walk anywhere around my home, really breathless, unable to eat or hardly drink.
I was speaking to a consultant at Papworth hospital who said that alot of people go undiagnosed for quite a long time and that the symptoms I had been getting could all have been related to the pe's, this was a real eye opener.
I really don't want to worry you and it does sound like it is anxiety, but could be worth going back to the gp and speaking with them again, remember if you don't feel right then get it checked out, again and again if the needs be.
I hope this helps a little

If the doctors say it's fine then trust them. If not go to another doctor or hospital but can't really say if you are fine or not but if you had a blood clot the pain would be more constant and it wouldn't come and go. The best way and most accurate is getting a ct scan. The doctors tell me the same thing with me I've been to hospital loads with my blood clot thinking I got another one or I'm dieing but they say it's anxiety to I'm starting to belive them because I'm still here now. It does sound like anxiety tho. Hope it gets better

Thanks James that gave me relief for some reason ..but I have to ask my go to go ahead they really think CT scan is not necessary as I don't have symptoms and that's a lot of radiation ..can CT be harmful in any way

Hi Rohit, I didn't have any signs of a PE or symptoms! I collapsed and was cold and shivery. They thought it was to do with my white blood cells! I had a CT scan and there it was in my left lung! I'm now taking an injection of fragmin every night for 3 months and then I have to be on anticoagulant's for the rest of my life!
Demand a CT scan. The radiation isn't the issue it's the cost! The amount of radiation compared to finding out and your mental well being is nil. Take care. X

No ct scans are not harmful if you have one they are expensive that's why they do them as a last resort. When you next go in make the symptoms sound worse then they are say you got back from a 10 hour flight last week. I asked for a ct scan again and they said no but what they said was right some times anxiety can cause all sorts better safe then sorry keep asking

I again went to another gp today that are not at all allowing for CT scan or further investigations ..he said if any block persists the 2D echo would have shown ..they just say to go home live a happy life which i couldn't .. should I forget about this ?? Or still try ??

What he is saying is true. Me personally I would listen to what he said if the pain gets worse and lingers then do something about it. Next time the pain come lie down for 10 minuets see if it sub sides. That's what I do and it works after 10 minuets if it doesn't go to hospital. It's totally up to you and how you feel about it. Have you had a clot before ?

Maybe go to hospital go see a doctor there if they run teats on you and say your fine maybe have faith in them. I've seen loads of doctors and they all tell me it's anxiety I'm still alive so I belive them. Go back if symptoms get worse try meditation relaxing techniques.
Hope it helps
