Can it take a few days to suffer after eating gluten

I don't think I am coeliac (blood test was negative) but I do think I am gluten intolerant. I just wondered if anyone on here has quite a delayed reaction to gluten. I usually read that people have a reaction within minutes or hours but I think it takes me days to feel stomach pain. Does anyone else take this long? Just wondering if I should go down another route.

I don't know, but there are degrees of gluten intolerance, as I understand it. For some the effects will be mild, just some gas and cramping, but for me they were cumulative so that by the time I was pressed to figure out wtf was happening I had a lot of severe and weird symptoms that didn't seem to have any connection to my gut. It was only through research that I learned it can cause inflammation throughout the body, in time.
If I go from eating none for at least a week and then eat a significant amount, like a slice of bread, say, I'll be sick the next day and feel it for two or three days after I first get symptoms.
The only thing to do is trial and error, when it comes to intolerance, because it is difficult to qualify except by logging symptoms and time frames. If you get the same pattern every time you eat it after being gluten free for a week, and if you don't have those problems without the gluten, then there is your answer.

My personal experience after eating gluten is pain accompained by diarroea (sorry)
usually anywhere from 20 mins to 2 hours but can last couple days. Had you been eating a normal diet with gluten in prior to your blood test if not your test might not be accurate as you need the gluten in your sysem to give an accurate reading.

but didn't revealed by blood or intestine biopsies so one test i do it by uniqe lab.
CYREX by using a sample of saliva which more accuret than blood. After that
i stop eating any product containing wheat also stoping rice. after one week i have improvement and i gradualy eat many types of food that i couldn't ated before. My advice is first at all stop eating bread and rice for two weaks and you will see.
