Can large fibroid tumors be dissolved naturally?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I had 7 fibroid tumors removed via a myomectomy 7 years ago - horrible pain healing for 2 years - and more have grown back now - 2 of them are very large. The specialist Dr says it's going to be a very extensive surgery since they're outside and inside my uterus. Are there any proven herbs/diets which can dissolve fibroids? I've seen some sites online but am not sure if they're trying to just sell a book on it. Any reputable testimonials for healing for these?

Hi!!! I had a myomectomy in 2006 to remove 4 fibroids, 2 small and 2 larger ones. No problems after that procedure for me, I had 3 day easy periods for about 5 years. In the last few years I have begun to have pressure, pain, heavy periods that last 2 to 3 weeks, frequent urination, constipation and just a full feeling belly all the time. To my understanding, they will not dissolve but some medication can help shrink them. I think everyone's body is different, so what may help some won't do anything for others. Visible in my ultrasound, I have four 4.5cm fibroids and one 6cm fibroid and 10 to 15 small ones. No wonder I feel full with a tight belly all the time.eek  I am telling you this because in the past 4 to 5 years I have tried many many herbs, vitimins, vinegar drinks, I tried everything someone suggested. So for me, nothing helped and they just grew bigger. The absoluty only option for me now is a hysterectomy that I will have May 16th. By the way, I am 41 years old no kids. Hope this helps

I believe that you can, but I think it requires a radical diet change.  I personally found that eating 3-4 apples a day really helps with my symptoms.  But I have also recently had to radically change my diet because of a sulfite sensitivity, gluten intolerance and sodium issues due to high blood pressure.  I know for a fact that the apples are a key component, because if I forget to eat them my symptoms will get worse again.  This is definitely not a quick fix.  I first discovered that I had fibroids a year and a half ago when I had flooding problems and my doctor recommended a hysterectomy.  I have too many fibroids for other options and with my age, he's not willing to consider them.  (I have a new doctor now).  I've taken 3 rounds of Fibristal which has been really helpful for me, but when I'm not on Fibristal my symptoms will come back again unless I eat my 3-4 apples a day.  I am currently on my third and last round of Fibristal.  I'm feeling much better and wonder if I will no longer need a hysterectomy if I can keep my extremely healthy diet up.  I do ocassionally cheat but only when I eat out at restaurants, which is about 1 to 2 times a week.  You can always give it a try, but it will also depend on how bad your symptoms are.  At this point I will have to see how I am after my last round of Fibristal before I consider not having a hysterectomy.

I did find this info in a google search......"High fiber diets might decrease your body's exposure to estrogen, a female hormone associated with fibroid growth, according to the book “100 Questions and Answers About Uterine Fibroids,” by Dr. Lloyd Greig. Fiber helps move and absorb estrogen out of your body. Examples of fiber-rich foods include black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, apples, oranges, blueberries, raspberries, blueberries, cucumbers, Brussels sprouts and onions. Whole grains, nuts and seeds also contain substantial amounts of fiber."

    Arwen,

I had fibroids and they shrunk when I went on the birth control pill. During menopause they completely shrunk. I had a hysto sonogram recently and there was no sign of fibroids at all. You didn't mention your age. Do you want children? Two years of healing is awful! You poor thing!

Hello. I wish you all the best. This may sound a bit metaphysical but I think the following factors contribute to fibroid problems:

    1) Worry and instability: relocating, problems with spouse or children. You need to practice some meditation techniques to balance the worries which fibroids seam to feed upon.

    2) Laptops: Even when I use a padded laptop tray I can still feel the heat building up in my uterus. Avoid placing technology on your lap at all costs.

    3) Gluten and Refined Sugars: These contribute to ovarian cysts as well as fibroids. Today’s wheat is so GMO. I am not intolerant but removing these miraculously cured my skin itching, food craving and bloating, and gave me energy and a fresh complexion.

Mine were too large to be removed normally. Eventually I got them embolized. All the best to you.
