there has been a lot of research on this, and yes all parts of the body. The levels in your blood can be measured

There is an autoimmune disease called polymyalgia rheumatica. The symptoms are extremely painful shoulders and/or hips. If you look it up on Google you could check if they are your symptoms.

if you have had a heavy metal blood test for cobalt and chromium and the results are high levels of the metals in the blood then some cases complications caused by metals are reviewed by a surgeon and may need a revision. many patients with metallosis require revision. remove the MoM implants add ceramic ball . i had revision due to metallosis causing corrosion of the area around the implant, loosening the femur implant pseudo tumors. there are many studies on the various cases online. i now have blood tests every 6 months since revision.my other hip has been in place for over 22 years and did not have high levels of metals causing metallosis . the second hip had many of the complications associated with metallosis.

hope your doing well and recovery is going better.

I had MOM hip 12 years ago . Bloods have risen and MRI showing change so im having a revision (don't know when yet) I have really bad pain in my shoulders and other areas so was wondering if this could also be down to my hip. Recently had MRI and it showed I had torn tendon in shoulder, my other shoulder feels the same so I'm wondering if it can all be linked

Have you had a metal on metal implant in the past? If so did you have it checked?
