Can my panic attacks come back after after years, even though I had taken medication?

My name is Jazmin for starters and I'm just hoping to find some helpful anwers. Recently I have had a panic attack one night, even though it has been two years since I have been diognosed (in 2014) and taken medication, about to be three years. I had stopped taking my medication after a year and was just curious, could these attacks come back after years? My fear of going back on medication worries the cr@p out of me. I need to stop from having any more panic attacks without going back on medication. So is it normal for panic attacks to come back after years and if not what should I do?
* Im willing to read anyones answers, just thinking about this gets me anxious. please SOS anyone. I would appreciate anyones own experience or wisdom when it comes to this certain situation.
-very grateful jae.

You beat it once and you will again. You have a lot more knowledge and experience about it now. Be patient and know it too shall pass. If you need meds again then so be it.

Yes, Jazmin, anxiety can come and return throughout your life. Usually when it pops up again there was a trigger. For me, the trigger is usually stress. But there are lots of potential triggers and therapy can help you identify your triggers, so that you can understand and avoid them. The important thing for you is that you beat this anxiety before and you're going to beat it again. You're stronger than the anxiety. People remind me of that all the time when i'm feeling desperate, and it's so so true. You're going to be okay Jazmin. It's worth talking to your doctor again about this stuff, not just for medication (although that might help), but also for general advice.
Peace

Yes panic attacks can come back. Meds helps you to get to a stable condition where u can start tackling issues which cause anxiety.
So if u don't get to the heart of these issues or get to a point where u feel on top of these then it can come back.
Are the triggers the same as when u had them before? Do u know what the triggers are?
