Can scabies make you feel ill
Posted , 3 users are following.
i was told by the doctor that It COULD be scabies and I duly put the cream all over twice. I hope to see a dermotologist as my husband doesn’t think it is. However I keep feeling unwell and am not sure what to do. I also have some dry itchy patches on my legs which won’t go away as well as a nasty sore place on my ring finger. But does anyone actually think scabies makes you ill.

Hi Bianca your doc should of taken skin test but then again I'm not surprised as the docs only know how to treat with the cream from neck down. The scabies have built up resistance to permethrin so they are getting very aggressive so you have to treat aggressively! Vacumn every day wash sheets hot hot water every day, dry hot hot for hour, cover yourself with sulfur from Home Depot, mix with Vaseline. Head to toes, if you miss a spot they will migrate under nails in private also. Also face ears and nose! These things are unbelievable! Wash will brush because they attach to your skin so scrub them off everywhere. I take showers because I think that's how they went to my scalp from hot bleach baths. Do I take shower every day, During day I put on light coat of sulfur but if you work you can mix grape seed oil with diamectrous earth, food grade. I have learned all these tricks on these forums. This is what worked best for me. Btw. They are microscopic so you can't see them but you can sometimes feel them like a mosquito crawling lightly. It sounds like scabies. They like your hands but they can go anywhere on your body. The trick is to kill them on the outside and the inside with ivermectin. Hope this helps

Yes, a dermatologist could confirm scabies by taking a skin sample. The permethrin can make you feel unwell..
Ideally all the family should be treated at the same time, bedding and clothing washed.. The entire body, except the face and scalp needs to be covered, plus a follow up treatment to kill any scabies emerging from the burrows after the first treatment. If this is your first infection, permithrin normally works well, however you may still get the itching. Scabies is probably the most itchiest of rashes... it drives you mad.... plus it spreads like wild fire.
Hopefully the dermatologist will find your problems is something completely unrelated.
