Can/should I go to ER ?

I am experiencing what seems to be grade 4 prolapsed internal hemorrhoid that has a large blue spot so I believe it to be clotted. I am worried it might be infected or I'm no sure but the pain and tenderness is all around to the point it feels like I have a UTI but it is not a UTI, it doesn't burn when I pee but I feel burning around my bladder and just all that general area. I am in significant pain and do not feel like I can deal with this all weekend to wait for my PCP, or it will be really uncomfortable to do so, is an ER suitable to deal with this over the weekend or is there anywhere I could go? To be clear I have been trying every at home remedy over the past few weeks and it is not helpful, I experienced the level 1 where it went out then in spontaneously 2-3 weeks ago, it was associated with significant bleeding t the time, but the minor pain/irritation subsided after a week, hence why I didn't end up going to a doctor. 2 days ago the pain came back, but I didn't not realize the clot and that it was permanently prolapsed until last night when it was too late to call my PCP. What should I do??

Hi E, The pressure sensation may be because you have internal hemorrhoids too, all that swelling causes pain, pressure, throbbing, itching, bleeding...So you said you have tried all the home remedies like: sitz bath warm water soak(you can even poo in the water while you're healing) gross but helps, Tucks (witchhazel)wipes, using an ice pack 10 min at a time (not on bare skin)..topical pain meds like Anusol etc..it can shrink & kill pain(can use inside & out), sitting on a soft cushion or donut...if none of that works, you have every right to go to your emergency dept...they can sometimes drain a bulging hemorrhoid, they can be sure it isnt infected and tell you how to continue treating it, maybe a more permanent fix should be considered with your Dr. down the line...If you are suffering, there's no need to wait til Mon, unless you can manage at home...bring a pillow to sit on in case its a wait, its flu season...wash your hands and avoid sick people...Good Luck my friend, this is no joke...that pain is something else!! Hi, what helped my pain, bleeding, and reducing my external hemorrhoids is taking the Daflon 500 mg. Mine started about 7 weeks ago. I was in so much pain and had no relief from both over the counter and prescription suppositories/cream from my PCP not until I started taking the Daflon 500 mg that I bought on ebay. My friend have told me about it because she had a history of Hemorroids.
