Yes, friend, I am so sorry.  It is hard to believe but those are the symptoms of GERD and it can be horrible.  I suffer terribly.  You can control a lot of it by being careful what you eat.  Basically anything yummy, you can't eat it without paying with fire in your esophagus and stomach.  Are you taking a good probiotic?  Have you tried apple cider vinegar (a tablespoon in water)?  If that helps, that is great.  If it makes the heartburn worse, the doctor told me you likely have a hiatal hernia.  Eating raw organic sauerkraut and bananas (not together) can make a miracle difference for some people as it resets your stomach acid levels back right.  Walking does help and even a 10 lb weight loss can make a huge difference.  A tight pant or belt or bra can actually make GERD symptoms worse. Sugar is really bad for GERD.  Look online at the major video sharing website for videos like "living with GERD" and they will tell you exactly how to figure out your trigger foods. Make sure you are deep-breathing in and out.  There are great videos online with breathing exercises.  Blessings to you!  I hope this helps some!

I totally agree , Christa . And for the love of God , don’t let them give you any PPI’s ( proton pump inhibitors ) . Those will screw you up completely .

I got really good results from drinking kefir every day . It’s a probiotic powerhouse , and I make it myself .

Hi I've been on gerd for a couple of months at first I experience abdominal pain for almost everyday but I was taking zantac during or every time my tummy is in pain but one time I had so much intense pain so I decided to see a doctor and they just ask me what I feel so they check my tummy just pressing in any part of my tummy actually its not really a hospital its just a company clinic because that time I was in remote area of Burkina fasso Africa working on a mining company.. so they don't have those testing equipment.. To make it short they give me famotidine that relieves my pain but lately I now experience back pain pain under my ribs shoulder pain.. Actually about a week ago I was takin nexium because I had this burning sensation on my throat.. My question is does anyone here have the same experience like mine?

I have had pain in those areas and it is related to the diaphragm.  You can find exercise videos free online that may help.  Search physical therapy for hiatal hernia or strerching for diaphragm.  If you put in the work 15-20 minutes a day, it can really help.  It may not reverse the hernia but you won’t have the horrible symptoms.

    Hi Cyril

I know exactly what your going through as I was the same. What I did was take probiotics with prebiotics, prebiotics make the probiotics work better, look for 50 Billion CFU’s. You can get them on amazon. I only eat 3 times a day, opted for a Mediterranean style diet and what a relief, I actually don’t need pills now. Every time I ate something, it was like someone was stabbing me below the breast bone, it was so painful. I’m not cured just now as I haven’t been doing this long, but what a relief.
