this is absolutely common with anxiety! Millions of people get this. I always suggest following up with your doctor just to get things checked out.
I have had this on and off for many years. You need to learn how to manage the anxiety and a counselor has helped me a lot. They see this every day and can help .
WHEN you're feeling severe shortness of breath due to anxiety, you can go to YouTube and search for PANIC ATTACK EMERGENCY . They will guide you through it. Another thing you can do is focus on your breathing. Take a slow long breath in through your nose making sure your stomach roses, then blowout slowly through your mouth as though you're blowing out a candle. Do this several times. Do this every time you feel shortness of breath coming on. Check out all the videos on YouTube that pertain to anxiety, check out guided mindfulness meditation's etc. they completely calm my whole body and mind down and I'm able to get rid of the symptoms. Do these frequently.
you will be fine! Try not to get anxious when you get symptoms because that will increase your anxiety. Hope you feel better. Just remember symptoms of anxiety cannot hurt you! They feel terrible but that is all.

Thank you for replying to my post. I will try all that. I just feel like I have it through out the whole day would that be considered normal if it is my anxiety. I'm so paranoid its something else worse.
Before I had headaches and stomach pain dizzyness and now this ugh I'm going crazy.

Yes I know exactly how you feel! All the symptoms you described can all be related to stress and anxiety. It's amazing what anxiety does to us.
Doctors don't know what to do other than prescribed medication because they can't actually see our symptoms. They can see a broken bone, not anxiety and that is the frustrating part of it all!
hopefully some of the things I mentioned before will help you out. Don't give up you deserve a long and happy life.

You are not alone I'm currently going through shortness of breath as well it's been confirmed by my doctor and psychologist that it's generalize anxiety disorder I've been checked up for asthma lung problems and nothing I'm healthy but still have this issue. But not to worry the good thing is that we are okay and we can actually breathe it's just the response that anxiety gives our brain that we need more oxygen when indeed we are over breathing oxygen. Belly breathing seems to help and exercise helps as well. Another thing that will work for some people is a breath inhaler. Hang in there this problem is only temporary...

Thank you for replying. Good to know I'm not alone. I was diagnosed with the same thing generalized anxiety disorder. I'm tired of feeling this way. As soon I start to think I'm getting better something happens. Sometimes I feel like I won't be able to breath anymore and stop breathing. I catch myself yawning over and over to try to catch my breath.
horrible

Yeah I completely understand what you are saying . it just feels like you can't get that full satisfaction of air when we breath.but this problem should go away on its own according to my doctors. I've only been having sense for about a month. This is all new to me. I got some tips for you as while this shortness of breath problem is still present
1. Ask your doctor about a Nebulizer machine . a nebulizer changes medication from a liquid to a mist so that it can be more easily inhaled into the lungs.
2. Ashtma inhalers. Been proving scientifically to help out patients with asthma and shortness of breath .
3. Simply go for a jog or cardio its good to normalize your breathing and you can breath a lot better.
4.meditation and belly breathing exercise
I've tried all these things and they do seem to help.
