Can't deal with BV anymore

Posted , 8 users are following.

having Bv has destroyed any self-confidence I once had. I can't walk past people or go near anyone because im scared of smelling bad, Also to the amount of discharge is ridiculous and it honestly feels like sitting in a puddle when I sit down

ive had this for about a year and a half and I just can't seem to get rid of it. It's not reoccuring, it's non stop. I've not been able to sit down comfortably for a year and a half.

Its very likely this was brought on because I used normal shower gels down there instead of a ph balanced one or just water.

Live tried vitamin c tablets (caused a strange discharge and bad smell), tea tree oil suppositories, BV activ gel, norforms, taking acidophilus, taking folic acid, taking probiotics, drinking and taking cranberry tablets, rephresh gel, just washing with water, washing with lactacyd and many more that I'll recall later.

i have to use femfresh or vagisil spray to cover up the smell (it smells like ammonia) which I know is bad but I don't have any other option

Does anyone know what I can do? I don't really want to try boric acid suppositories because I know people can get bad rashes from them and. Can't imagine them being for for your body...

I'll appreciate any help

    Hi

I like you had the same problem. I know it's easier said than done but try not to let it get you down you would be surprised how much your emotions has an affect on your body. I have tried all the things you have.

The balance activ BV worked while I used them then as soon as I stopped it came back.

Try femdophilous tablets. You can get them online and they must be kept refrigerated and taken once or twice a day. I had a couple of months relief with these then when I was poorly it threw my body out and BV has come back with a vengeance! Deffo worth a try.

I have just ordered multi gyn actigel as it had some fab reviews so plan to try this when it arrives. I sincerely hope that you find some relief. It seems what works for one doesn't for another and the medical professionals don't have a clue

Keep us posted & remember your not alone I feel your pain. It's totally soul destroying but keep trying.

    X

Have you ever had the thought that what you have tried still might work for you, but you just might not be doing the regime long enough or taking enough of whatever vitamins that you tried? Getting rid of bv is a process that does not happen overnight.

You mentioned changing the gel you used to wash with? Well why not try using Johnson and Johnson baby wash down there? Ever since I did this the BV went away...it didnt happen overnight. My OB recommended using this because it has the right amount of PH in it that the vagina needs. However, when I started this she had also prescribed a dose of antibiotics to clean out the bad bacteria while i was using the soap to replace the healthy PH level.

I have already been taking FemDophilus, Vitamin C 500MG, Folid Acid 800 mg, Vitamin D3 1,000 IU, and daily vitamin for 3 weeks prior to this doc telling me to use the Johnson and Johnson soap, so I honestly think that doing this set the stage for the bv to clear up once i took two days worth of the antibiotic (she prescribed 14 pills to take twice daily, but I only took 3...two one day, and 1 the next day because they were making me feel sick). Even upon taking the the metronidazole by mouth I still continued my vitamin regime and byt day two the bv was gone....

I waited until my period that was coming, waited for it to end, because that usually started it up...but after my period...no bv...waited the next period thinking that it was just the antibiotics that cleared me up from the infection, but once again, no more bv.

I have said this again and will say it again and again if I have too, bc i want other women to be free from bv just like i now am. The vitamin D3, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Multi-vitamin, and probiotic, as well as the Johnson and Johnson baby wash got rid of my bv in three months...ALL of these are very important to take every single day if you want to be free of bv....give it 3 months tops to work...some will see results in just a week...everyone is different. Please, please try this! Consistency is key to getting rid of the bv!

ill probably end up going to the doctor again but they never seem to help

I bought some Johnson and Johnson wash today and I've used it and there's been no irritation which is a good sign

I also bought some actigel recommended by BVdepressed22 hopefully it will help to stop all this horrible discharge!

Im going to keep on with all the tablets until this horrible BV is gone

Boric acid is the answer. So far, it has cured mine. I use a suppository capsule once a week with an acidophilus capsule at the same time. Insert once a week.... done.

    Hi Cats

It's bad isn't it we know how you feel my doctor told me not to use thoes fem fresh wipes soaps or powders and that not that you are doing this but when menstrating stop using tampons tampax and only use towel's change regularly too, wear cotton knickers, every one is totally different and not all will work for some.

Also eating plain natural yogurts and even smear and insert it into vaginas is another thing doctor advised me to do.

Mad isn't it the length's we have to go.

    I wish you luck.

I don't use tampons I've always been slightly afraid of them I just use pads

yeah we have to do a lot I don't get how so many people don't know what BV is when it affects so many women

      thanks x

You didn't mention diet. I would try a very strict BV diet.  I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know how bad it can be.   God bless and I hope you find a treatment.

      Sorry I didn't did it

I'm cutting out sugary things like chocolate and sweets and replacing them with fruit but I probably need to be stricter with it

      thank you x

Hi Cats165 these are just normal things for women. so i would say first no douching. It washes away our natural body floura. another thing is if you are taking a antibiotic you should make sure that you are taking a probiotic. I take probiotics daily they are supposed to be good for maintaining feminine health. It comes in pill form and also if you like yogart eat it or try the probiotics drinks. chase with Water and then cranberry juice . After you drink the cranberry juice you may get a lil discharge. Its just your bosy trying to clean itself. Try to stay away from sugar. It throws the body out of wack. When you eat try cutting up a fresh onion. Onions eliminate mucus. Absolutely no perfume or powder down there.

Im starting to think that their must be somethin in the water or food. Because so many of us are going through the same thing. I have also started taking vitamins. I have added cabbage to my diet. Cabbage kills a specific kind of germ. And i think that until your symptoms have gone away. a bv diet is a good idea. If you have to snack. Eat only fresh. Other than that jar food like pickles. No tight clothes. And get as much air as possible. i think that if you are not wearing dresses everyday. I could be possible that we are not getting enough air. Well thats all i can think of. But if i think of anything else i will post

I have been dealing with this issue for many years. I recently discovered that drinking cranberry juice helps me with bv.
