Can’t eat without vomiting and feel better after I vomit

Has anyone else experienced this before?

My anxiety is manageable until I eat something and then I feel terrible all my symptoms come back and eventually I puke which makes me feel a lot better again, it’s really annoying because I really need to eat I’m starving and waking up in the middle of the night with the hunger, no food and no sleep are doing me no favors... I’m on sertraline 2 days now but this problem has been happening before the sertraline... I’ve been on sertraline before 3 years ago for a generalized anxiety disorder and it cleared everything up for me to the point where I felt 100% normal but I’m back on it for the same reason that set me off the first time around and that’s experimenting with drugs, it obviously does something to my brain chemistry, sorry I’m rambling but does anyone else have this problem?

If this was happening before you started on the sert then I would think it's a product of your anxiety. I doubt it's a side effect as you are probably only on a very low starting dose and only 2 days. I presume you have been checked out to make sure you don't have any other medical condition. Are you sick when you drink as well?. ..If not then maybe you should try drinking thin clear soup and drinking milk. You could make smoothies with good stuff in. Also keep sipping water with ice cubes in or you will get dehydrated. I would Defo go back to the doctor..

I hope you feel better soon.

I had that problem but I was just vomiting with all the nerves and all I was vomiting was clear liquid and then it just stopped, so it could be all just nerves and anxiety not the medication and I felt a relief afterwards to but that didn’t last long
