Can’t get blood results

Hi, I had a range of blood tests done in January, all ok apart I was told I was borderline hypothyroid and to book another blood test in 8 weeks. After that blood test my surgery rand asking me to see my GP. He said my levels had changed and I would need medication ( levothyroxine 50) wvicj I have been taking since March. I had another blood test after 8 weeks ( I had it 3 weeks ago) I haven’t heard anything do I called in to my Surgery to ask about my results and was told they don’t give them or get in touch unless there is something wrong. I have never been given any results but am curious what they are and have been. Am I entitled to to get them? I feel sooo tired even though I sleep well at night ( and nap after work) and I wondered if my meds need changing. Sorry for long message.

Yes you are entitled to them. Some surgeries can be stubborn and say no.
Some people get print outs directly from their gp. I’ve asked at my reception and they have printed them out but I usually have to wait 24 hours while they get a gp to sign them off.
You need to have them and learn about the different levels.
Borderline means your tsh level was probably between the range number and 10. They usually don’t Medicare and just monitor.
I was in the top half of ‘in range’ and still experiencing symptoms. Most people feel better at around 2. Just make another appointment to discuss you are still experiencing symptoms and you’d like printouts of your results for your own records

Yes, you are entitled to view your own care records, which include test results. As Jennifer has stated, some surgeries try to be difficult and are reluctant to show you. If this happens to you, simply state they have a lega; responsibility to show you.
