Hi

Is there anyone out there that has totally changed their diet to plant based, mostly alkaline foods, and still experiencing lots of problems. I've lost a stone after 1 month of being on a plant based diet, I go to the gym 3 times a week as well, its a good hard workout. I'm experiencing a lot of problems with my throat and a lot of pain in the esophagus area, I'm continually throat clearing, and cant for the life of me get rid of the mucous problem. Just seems to be getting worse, could this be Barret's esophagus?

Hi have you had an endoscopy yet. Only endoscopy can reveal what is causing these problems. I am gradually changing my diet to alkaline. I am still eating fish and chicken however I have to put them through blender as I am having swallowing issues. Im waiting for an endoscopy. I believe that changed in diet and lifestyle can make huge difference.

      Hi

yes, I had an endoscopy about 4 years ago. the verdict was inflammation of the stomach and bowel. I haven't had one since then. Anytime I've ever went on a plant based diet, it has always worked. I'm shocked that this is failing now, really don't understand it. ,
