can’t pee or poop, help!

Posted , 4 users are following.

the last time I used the restroom was 8 hours ago. I have to go again, I feel like I have to poop and pee but I can’t. I have constipation and it seems to be severe because it’s putting a lot of pressure on my abdomen and I can’t seem to pee nor poop even though feeling like I have to. should I just keep trying? I don’t really want to go to the ER because I’m afraid of catheters..

I suggest that you get an over the counter laxative and once you have managed to empty your bowels, wee should flow easier. If it doesn't work after emptying your bowels. A visit to your doc. is called for. Best of luck.

davidansy has given you excellent advice. Drink plenty of water. If this is a constant problem  then maybe you need to try and change your diet.  Include plenty of fruit/vegetables/nuts/seeds and include a bran breakfast cereal and wholemeal bread.

Hi the john If you sit on the toilet seat and rock back and forwards it might help you as the poo often gets held up in the anus area and by rocking it stretches the anus then lean right back to the back of the seat so your back is straight put your hand down under and see if you can feel the poo   The reason why you can't pee is the poop is cutting into the prostate and blocking your pee line .I get this problem often And sometimes I have to pick the poop out with my fingers, In the end, you feel like you have given birth to a cricket ball Drink planty of water
