can't sleep, feeling very anxious I think?

 My hubby says my eyes look like saucers I feel beyond tired but every time I lie down I can't switch brain off to go to sleep, it's driving me mad. Feel like I maybe got 2hrs last nite?

Supposed to be going out tonite, the nausea feeling started yesterday too, don't know why I am worrying but it's two old friends, one is really like a brother but he has no idea about me taking tablets or being depressed. Its like this lil secret that I can't talk about and I keep thinking when I see them 2nite, I will just burst into tears or be really paranoid?

Hope you are all having a better weekend, read a few posts and sounds like some of you have had a tough couple of days.

Sending huggles (hug and cuddle in case you wondered!)

If they are old friends they will surely understand if you tell them wont they? I have found so many of my friends supportive since I started being open about it all. They may not totally understand, but they care and thats the first step right?

Hope you get some better sleep tonight. Try no caffine (inc. tea) after 8pm, and maybe ask your hubby for a relaxing massage??

I felt a bit odd this morning. Felt like crying but couldn't, was very frustrating. My boyfriend seems concerned too, he hopes the higher dose wont take away all my emotions.

    Hiya

Been on flu ten months and still haven't told all my friends. Feel ashamed which is silly and don't want them to look at me any differently. I know they'd all be fine as i'm sure yours will.

As for the sleeping, i'll never know how i coped at the beginning with only a few hours sleep a night but it does get better i assure you. I'm on 20mg a day and have gone from a person who's cries at anything to hardly crying at all. Definately takes away your emotions. I hope they come back one day.

    Hope your weekends went okay.

Remember this bit well, You will find it difficult to tell anyone 2 begin with. It might be easier for you to avoid social things until the tabs kick in? I told people gradually if the opportune moment appeared in normal conversation and then only after a month or more.

I also recommend no caffeine before bed and also add 5 drops of lavender (essential) oil to a full bath. It is great for depression and all types of stress as well as inducing sleep, works for me. You can buy on-line or in Boots. I've been where you are to now having 8 hours sleep so don't lose hope

    Take Care  .

Hello, Don't worry about not wanting to go out. Everything seems worse when you don't get your sleep. Ask your GP to prescribe a sleeping pill like Zimovane, which is safe to use with Fluoxetine. S/he will probably give you a short course but it will be enough to reset your clock so to speak. If you are on SSRI drugs, a common side effect is agitation, anxiety and sleep problems (how ironic) especially if you have only just started taking them recently.

Good luck, don't suffer in silence.

    xx
