I feel so helpless and depressed.
I keep asking myself if I ll ever be able to enjoy life again.
I try to pray when I m in that zone. I find a lot of comfort in prayer.

Its so helpful to know I’m not alone. I too find strength in God.

Been having symptoms for a little under 2 years but diagnosed beginning of this month. And I still don't seem to find a way to manage my chest pain and gas build ups. It's so depressing.
I ve been on PPIS and antacid but the chest pain is constant.

I’ve stopped alcohol and chocolate 😕 I enjoyed an occasional drink and loved my chocolate. Do you have problems thinking clearly when you have a flare up?
I found mylanta with simethicone usually relieves the bloating.

I take symethicone for bloating too and YESSSS my thought are all over the place at times. I really can't control them. I thought that had something to do with nerves . I ve been thinking of seeing a neurologist.
Do you recon HH could be the cause?

Always check with your doctor to let him rule everything out.
Im looking into vagus nerve imbalance/ hiatal hernia syndrome; in interesting read.
Have you considered surgery?

I ve read about the vagus vein as well.
And unfortunately doctors don't seem to give us enough clarity on the relation btn the 2.
And no I haven't considered surgery. My doctor suggested I watch my diet and apparently that alone can help me manage the symptoms.he also mentioned that the op only has an 80% success rate which he s not confortable with.
If in another month I still don't feel better I am definitely seeking a second opinion.

Today I decided to have a glass of wine. I hope I don't regret it tomorrow...has anyone tried having a little alcohol with hiatal hernia?

Suprisingly i had no symptoms after the glass of wine. I did not go crazy of the bottle,so I think drinking in moderation is ok.
I haven't had any serious complaints for a few days now and I pray it stays this way.
How have you been keeping?
