Can't take a deep breath today

I know this one comes up once in a while. Today it feels like I cannot take a deep breath.

It has happened before, been to the doctor and the doctor told me I am fine. It disappeared for a while and today it's back.

I don't feel anxious, not today.

Annoying!

Hugs to you all x

    Ive got it today also,

Its like when you haven't inhaled enough air,

I'm sure it's trapped air maybe bottom of our oesophagus,

We swallow air when we talk and also when we eat,

I have a hiatus hernia and a paramedic told me that a lot of people suffer with feeling of not being able to inhale properly, especially after food,

I know it sounds gross but try and burp, drink a fizzy drink and see if that helps at least you know it is deffo down to trapped air x

Thanks for the tip Clair. i have to add that I am feeling bloated, so it might have something to do with it.

When it first happened over a year ago I convinced myself it was an allergic reaction to mould and I did some deep cleaning. The air hunger did not go away so I went to the doctor but she reassured me my lungs were fine. As you say, it could be the digestive system, maybe some air pushing up 😅

      Thanks again x

i get this feeling of air hunger too and it's horrendous. I am so fed up with all the symptoms of menopause. i think I have had most of the 66 at some stage. My biggest upset is the way you can feel okay for a few days, weeks or months and then suddenly feel dreadful - like a sweeping wave of doom comes over you. It really shakes my confidence and I feel like crying. While my GP is fab, I am waiting for an appointment with Dr Newson as I feel I need greater support as I'm already on HRT but feel it needs looking at and adjusting to help me get my old self back.
