Can Utrogestan cause depression and panic?

I'm so unwell at the moment and overcome with panic. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this progesterone?

    Hi Pamela

Yes I am on HRT estrogel and utrogestan for 12 days this part of the cycle sees me at my worse very low in mood, tearful and my anixety peaks its awful. I am due to see my specialist at the Menopause clinic at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in January as I have previously been advised I could be intoerant to the progestrone I am on. I have been reccomended to have a mirena coil fitted ?? Try magnesium and magnolia supplements for your anixety.

    Hope this helps

Hi Pamela, I had the mirena coil fitted 16 months ago and straight away had problems with vertigo, I've also developed parathesia and an internal tremor. My doctor recommended it saying the progesterone would be localized to my uterus but this wasn't the case. I have been considering cyclogest pessaries, has anyone tried this?

    Hello ladies,

Just wanted to say a belated thanks for all your kind words, means a lot. I'll reply properly later as the internet is playing up.

Still feeling unwell, even with antidepressants! It seems, at least in my case, that HRT is stronger than fluoxetine 😕
