can we have some real truths please about zopiclone

You have probably read most of my answers to will not go into all of that. I have still to regard the zopiclone thing as a myth because i have seen no printed evidence of any problem with them or indeed what would become of patients who step over the line and try to buy them. There has been comments on this site but if I never visited this site I would probably be buying them to my hearts content and twos to the doctors BUT warnings have been given on this site but I do not know if that is from an American member or what. I did contact a uk site and they did not seem to give a damn about all what is going on. I don't know, perhaps they have got it all legally loopholed or whatever I but I was too worried about losing my money. Where do we find information on zopiclone and its now bad reputation - or perhaps it is all verbal in which case irrelevant.

I am still intrigued.  All the doctors and consultants are dancing about like scared hyenas but I have yet to see any evidence on any of this issue with zopiclone. If you offend to you get taken to a private medical court. Is it things are not implemented yet but they are all running scared. We need to see proof.

I'm in the US and i don't know why this recent change happened in the UK about being more restrictive with zopiclone.  As for harmfulness, not just of zopiclone but of hynotics in generaly, i'm concerned about the research data that suggests a likely causal association between this kind of drug and increased risk of some kinds of cancer.  But they do help with sleep and not sleeping is also associated with health risks.  Here's a wikipedia article with some info on the cancer risk. (i have no idea whether this has anything to do with the increased restriction in the UK.  They have been restricted in the US for a while and i think they recently became more restricted, according to my doctor when i saw him about a month ago and asked if he could prescribe a bit more than he had been prescribing, of zolpidem, because i was facing major abdominal surgery. And he said he was sorry but because of a new restriction that had just gone into effect, he wasn't able to prescribe more.)

Well all I can say is I must be weird. I have been on zopiclone since 2008 and had no problems with driving, attentiveness etc in fact because I have leukaemia I find them relaxing. This has all come about by I don't know why and my self centred problem is that I want to sleep.
