Can you get withdrawal from SSRIs after relatively short time on a low dose?

Hi everyone,

I was on citalopram and sertraline for a total of 5.5 weeks. Was on 10mg citalopram for 5 days followed by another 2 weeks on 5mg then a week of alternating 10 and 5. Then switched onto 25mg setraline which I took for 10 days. My doctor said it was ok to stop them without tapering as I was having unwanted side effects and said as I was on such a low dose, it wouldn't be a problem.

However, since I've stopped I'm still experiencing nausea and vomiting and muscle tension and jitteriness...could this be withdrawal or just my anxiety/something else?

Thanks smile

I’ve been on 25mg Sertraline down from 50mg for five days. Having the shakes and nausea too.

Definitely think withdrawal is a problem but the symptoms also make anxiety worse which is a vicious circle.

Keep in touch as I am planning to get of Sertraline within the n cat few weeks.
