Everyone is different on this med, i experienced side affects around the 8th day. The more you get anxious the higher ur anxiety gets. Don't know why your on med or how much but try to keep busy and your mind off of drug. If u can't function properly to work ask ur doctor for a benzo to take while side affects are worse. This is not saying that you will get side effects, some people have very light ones. So good luck and let us know how ur doing.

Hi Brenda,
Thank you for your reply, it made me feel better.
I was prescribed for anxiety. I can't eat very well and since Saturday I can't sleep either.
My manager has picked up what's happening. I booked off the next week and I will star on 50mg on Saturday. Maybe I need to be honest as coo suggested.
Thank you so much again and pls also keep me updated about you

I think your body is going through so many side effects on this drug, I even felt suicidal for a while . It seems to have subsided thank goodness.
Are you able to confide in your boss and explain it's only temporary. From what other people have said I think it will be a maximum 12 weeks or less feeling this way.
I hope you can make it through as I am sure long term you will benefit .

Hi janemarie1970
We note from a recent post which you have made to our forum that you may be experiencing thoughts around self-harm. If we have misinterpreted your comments then we apologise for contacting you directly. But if you are having such thoughts then please note that you are not alone in this, and there are people out there that can help.
If you are having these suicidal thoughts then we strongly recommend you speak to someone who may be able to help. The Samaritans offer a safe space where you can talk openly about what you are going through. They can help you explore your options, understand your problems better, or just be there to listen.
Their contact details are on our patient information leaflet here: https://patient.info/health/dealing-with-suicidal-thoughts, which also offers lots of other advice on how you can access the help you may need.
If you are having such thoughts then please do reach out to the team at the Samaritans (or the other people detailed in our leaflet) who will understand what you're going through and will be able to help.
Kindest regards
Patient
