if i have sex with my gf who had gotten hsv 2 genital herpes from a very bad abusive past relationship without being infected? i do not have herpes. besides not having sex during outbreaks besides her being on antiviral medication and washing with anti bacterial soup before and after sex is there any way to have 0 percent transmission rate? i know with all that the chances of getting it are still high enough to not have an easy mind its basically playing russian roulette. especially since the condom only covers the penis but not other areas that can receive skin to skin touching. besides not having sex is there any way to have 0 chance of transmission. would i be able to wear some form of cloth around my body that would stop my pelvis, testicles and thighs from touching her skin. in theory be a condom for all skin thats not protected by a condom? in theory it should work since the only reason it is transmitable is by skin to skin touching or exchange of fluids. what im asking is, is there any other things to up the chances of resistance, medically, or physically or if a device like that exsists

Completely no chance of transmission? No.

Sex always comes with a risk, along with everything else in life.

When I have sex (bit personal here!) I make the foreplay last for him so that he has minimal contact with being inside me if you get my drift. As quick as possible. I don't let him do oral on me as that's risky. I make sure he doesn't come into contact with my thighs by covering them up, as that's where I get rashes. I don't think it's the fluid that infects you, it's the skin to skin contact. I've read it is more easy to infect through heat and friction, so I minimize friction. This isn't a saf

What I've said isn't completely safe of course, but people are going to have sex, so I try to minimize contact from skin to skin as much as possible. Good Luck!

I am currently in college to become a Clinical Lab Tech. I have read about may diseases. HSV2 is more likely contracted from men to women. "Stastically" there is a 2% chance that a woman can transmit it to a male. HSV2 can be contracted through skin to skin touching IF she is experiencing an outbreak and IF the areas that have been contacted have some type of open sore/wound. Wearing a condom will help with the risk but you also need to make sure your hands and other parts of your body that may have came in contact with her are properly cleaned because if you were to touch your eye, nostral mouth, ear or any other area that is considered a mucous membrane and your hands werent clean then you may possibly be infected as well.

    Hope this helps.
