Can you have years of bv due to hormonal imbalance?

I have been suffering from vulvadynia and bv for 4 years now.  Tried everything, even a vestibulectomy and nothing has helped.  Current doctor is claiming I have no hormones (due to taking the wrong birth control pill 4 years ago) and I am taking hormones now.  She also says I need 5000 Vitamin D daily to keep the bv away.  Anyone have success with curing bv through hormone replacement therapy?

    I have not tried hormone replacement therapy so I cannot help :-( but I also suffer from BV and I think it was caused by having unprotected sex with a new partner after getting out of a long relationship. And now I am also finding out from my doctor I tested positive for Ureaplasma (I think that’s how it’s spelled) I hope you fondness answers soon.  Try to keep your head up.. I know how hard it is :”(
