CAN YOU LOSE WEIGHT/EXERCISE SAFELY WITH ATRIAL FIBRILLATION?

I am 52 years old and have just been diagnosed with AF. I was in the middle of a weight loss programme, which included swimming, gym and walking. I have stopped currently as I am awaiting medication and cardioversion but I need to recommence my weight loss and exercise when I have settled down so to speak. My cardiologist advises exercise is OK in a gentle form, nothing that makes you so out of breath that you cannot speak a sentence. I'm so scared of having a stroke that I daren't do anything to strenuous. I have already regained weight I have lost. Can anyone shed any light on suitable exercises I can do SAFELY please? I desperately need to lose around 2 stone (in around 6 months). Can I still swim and walk as both make me out of breath!?

Daily exercise for 30 to 40 mints.
Go on walk in the morning.
Use fruits and boiled vegetables mostly instead of fat and high level of foods items.
Drink water mostly about 8 to 10 glasses.
Plan a perfect diet schedule.
Stay active all the day.
Other activities like swimming, running, cycling etc.

you do not need to exercise-the weight will fall off you on its own accord, as long as you eat less. That is what I try to steer to people-it PAINS me to see very overweight people slaughter themselves just to burn a few more hundred calories than they are already burning off already. It is SO much easier to say no to a mars bar than it is to jog for half an hour. You lose weight by doing LESS. ie; not going to the shop, purchasing the food-eating the food. You will still lose weight-ye cannae change the laws of physics.
